14 1/2 months already!

December 4th, 2008

Hi all, I can’t believe that William is already over a year old and almost toddling!  He is up to 8 teeth now and eating much better than he used to.  I continued to feed him until about 2 weeks ago so he had a good 14 months of breast feeding to get him started in life.  He has been cruising around holding on to furniture for weeks now and I think it can only be a matter of days/weeks before he starts to let go and walk unassisted.  I started back at work at the end of August and had a hard first few weeks before William had settled into nursery.  Now he is loving it which makes it much easier all round.  The flavour of the months is cars and bricks :)  Anything with wheels is amazing apparently (that and raisins).  We are all looking foward to Christmas as William is so much more aware of what is going on compared to last year.  No doubt he will try to pull down the decorations and eat the Christmas presents as soon as they are put in the lounge so we have that fun to look forward to :)

More teeth and general news

June 6th, 2008

Hi all, well we are now up to 4 teeth through (2 top, 2 bottom at the front) so there is a bit of a bugs bunny thing going on :).  William is still doing really well and we are very grateful to have been blessed with such a contented little boy.  He is regularly making as laugh as he shuffles along the floor on his bottom (not quite crawling yet but is on his hands and knees sliding backwards much to his frustration).  He loves music, especially when mummy sings to him and bashing things is currently his favourite past time :)  William will be dedicated at church (like a Christianing but less water) on 27 July which will be great and a good excuse to hopefully have a party in the garden!  William has been having swimming lessons since he was 16 weeks (Little Dippers) and is now onto stage 4 of 7.  He loves the water and is confident being under the water as well now which is great to see and also makes hair washing really easy!  There are new pictures on the justins website (bradley.org.uk) every couple of weeks or so, so it’s easy to keep up with what he has been up to.  William started solids about 2 1/2 months ago and has been a bit of a pickle with eating - usually fighting me all the way at meals but we usually get there in the end.  Loves his yogurt and fruit though!

Tooth

April 1st, 2008

Hi World,

W has his first tooth!  Its only just starting to come through, he doesn’t seem that bothered thankfully.

As ever I’m being rubbish at updating this blog, ah well.  However the photos are being updated, so there is a pictorial story of William’s progress at least.

Update

December 19th, 2007

Hi, so yes, I’ve been appalling at updating this thing, guess I’ve been busy. I have at least found time to keep the pictures of William up to date.

Anyway, a few words to update interested parties.

William is doing very well, putting on weight at a slightly higher than normal rate, making him officially chubby. :)

He is sleeping in his own room now (has been for 3 weeks or so) , which actually means that he sleeps better as well as us.

You’ll see from the recent pics that he is a smiley, giggly baby, which is fun (can’t think where he gets that from).

The only slight downer recently is that Sarah managed to put her back out, as she does from time-to-time.  This has caused a bit of a problem, as she has been unable to lift William.  Thankfully, both our Mums have been on hand, as well as a number of good friends.  So over the past couple of weeks there as been someone around to do the lifting.   Thankfully, Sarah is on the mend now, and has been advised that lifting can happen as long as much care is taken.

Easier than putting them directly in here.
[edit] I have just added a few more pics from week 2 and 3.

William Tristan Peter Bradley

September 13th, 2007

William was born at 02:01 on the morning of 12th September. Weighing in at a healthy 7 lb 13 oz.

Both he and Sarah are doing well. We are now all back home, having left the hospital late yesterday evening.

We are all rather tired, but very, very happy. :)

Not yet

September 5th, 2007

Well September 4th has come and gone, but I’ve got nothing to report as yet.
Both Sarah and Bump are well, although Sarah has more than had enough.
We went for a curry last night, which is an old wives tale I was more than happy to explore. :)

32 week scan update

July 30th, 2007

Hi all, no more pictures I’m afraid as he is apparently now too big to fit on the picture!  I had my 32 week scan almost 3 weeks ago now and he already weighed 4 lb 11 oz which was well above average for this point.  However, surprising news is that I had lost 2 kg since they weighed me at the first 10 week appointment!  GP is happy that everything is going as planned and the little one is still making his presence felt on a daily basis with kicks that Beckham would be proud of..

I had a 34 week check up last week and found out that I have lost a further 3 kg in the last 2 weeks although little one is still growing a pace…very bizzare but all fine apparently :)  I am pleased to say that I am now off work as of today on maternity leave and am just counting down to the 4 September now.  Feeling fine but get very tired from doing very little which people assure me is quite normal.  Anyway, I’ll let you know if any further updates.

20 week scan

April 17th, 2007

Hello again, Sarah had another scan today. So we both got to the see the little ‘bean’ wriggle about again. :)

All is well in there, both Sarah and baby are healthy and progressing well. I have a new pic, not that it shows a great deal to be honest, but I’ll attach it here once I’ve scanned it in.

For those of you who predicted a girl, sorry, but this little chap is a boy!

(Justin goes to buy a train set.)

20 week scan
If you look carefully, squinting may help, you may see the baby’s head on the left, nose in the air. And his hand raised in the middle.

Guessing time.

April 3rd, 2007

Hi folks, well its been a few weeks since the first post, thought it was time to write again.

Sarah is fine, everything seems to be ticking along nicely. The second scan happens in a couple of weeks time, then maybe we’ll get to find out which colour to paint the nursery etc.

So, its time for people to try and predict the sex of the baby. Also, to make it a bit more interesting, try guessing the little things birth weight too. Add your guesses to the blog.
No prizes though, sorry. :)
